So glad you found us! We’re here six days a week, sharing practice, breathwork, and yoga philosophy. Let’s get to know each other.
Hi, I’m Meghan Marshall.
I've been teaching Ashtanga yoga for 15+ years.
I've practiced Ashtanga Yoga almost every day since my first daughter was born in 2011. She was sensitive to lights, touch, and sound. She cried loudly for most of the day. We were even asked to leave a home daycare because of noise complaints from the neighbors. I consulted a pediatrician, an osteopath, and a naturopath. Nobody had advice. I felt like a terrible mom who couldn’t soothe her baby.
During her naps, I practiced Ashtanga Yoga on the linoleum floor of our small apartment. Those times were moments of calm and predictability. “Inhale, you’re alright. Exhale, it’s gonna be okay.” Since then, Ashtanga Yoga has been my daily practice. And once you get consistent, you start to see results… like better breathing and feeling at ease in your own skin. And then you wanna keep going!
You don’t need to have a baby or be in personal crisis to make yoga a habit. No matter who you are, having a daily touchstone like yoga gives you a sense of control over your life — especially when the going gets tough.
Since completing my Yoga Teacher Training at Ashtanga Yoga Montreal in 2008, I’ve taught in Mysore rooms in New Zealand and the U.S., and attended workshops and trainings with numerous teachers. I know the ins and outs of the practice and how to tailor it to your body.
If you’re ready to explore how Ashtanga Yoga can fit into your life, whether you’re in a moment of calm or chaos, I’d love to guide you. Let’s start your practice today!
“I learned more about the practice of Ashtanga–and my practice, in particular–in my first couple weeks with Meghan than I had learned over months and years with several other teachers. Among the distinctive qualities that make Meghan such a masterful teacher are her insight, patience, mastery of asana and fundamental respect for her students.”

My yoga journey began in high school when I stumbled upon a “Yoga for Dummies” DVD in my basement. Growing up as the daughter of two athletes—a diver and a triathlete—and being naturally hypermobile, I’ve always been "bendy." My love for movement started early, from practicing Tang Soo Do and running Cross Country to exploring Tai Chi and Droznin.
In the framework of doshas, I’m Vata—meaning I’m flighty, I learn and forget quickly, and I love to multitask. I found the routine and ritual of theater calming, so I studied it extensively at Albright College and The National Theatre Institute. There, under the guidance of Marya Ursin, I began a formal yoga education.
When I moved to Philadelphia in the fall of 2017, I found myself in an "Intro to Ashtanga" workshop with Corey Reidy. By the time winter rolled around, I was all in. Since then, I’ve deepened my Ashtanga practice by studying with Jen Rene, Paige Morency, Kino MacGregor, and, of course, plenty of books.
I encourage my students to practice with a sense of empowerment and curiosity, putting them in control of their experience and urging them to ask questions rather than simply follow “The Method.” This practice can be unexpectedly challenging—like when sitting on your heel triggers a surprise bout of imposter syndrome (just me?). Because Ashtanga can be like this, I strive to keep it light and fun.
I’m a graduate of Yoga Child (90hrs, 2018) and Three Queens Yoga (200hrs, 2022). Now, I live in sunny West Philadelphia with my two house bunnies.

“I especially like the way they break down difficult poses and explain a new perspective with patience and clarity. It has allowed me to progress in my practice relatively quickly.”

“Meghan is affectionately named "The Benevolent Ashtanga Overlord" by her students, as she teaches way that is both empathetic and humorous, while still holding space for challenge and growth with her gentle guidance and encouragement.”
